Suburban RED - The Suburban Garage/Studio

I read recently about how for many men living in the suburbs the garage is often the place where his creativity thrives. Model train sets and various car and makeshift projects happen in the garage space. In the 1960s our family garage had been converted into a bedroom for my two older brothers. It's since become mostly a storage space. Indeed, I found the garage to be an excellent place for creative work and storage of props etc. I wanted to feature this space because it has personal significance as the ceiling artwork on the panels, stylized in a very 1960s psychedelia, was created by my oldest brother who was also a creative mentor for me as a young person.

On the right of the bottom photograph you can see a stack of fruit crates. These crates that were collected by my father in the 1960s for his various projects contain original fruit crate art that I had produced for another project.
